1986 X1/9 Roller -
This is an extremely
good condition, >RUST FREE< 1986 rolling chassis. It has
been sitting at the shop for about a year, purchased in a previous
multi-car deal. The exterior is poor due to desert sun fading
and it going through a brush fire. It has surface rust and
scorched finish in spots but there
are no areas of corrosion. The hood is tweaked with
a minor dent in the nosecone. The right front corner has evidence of
previous body work to fill a dent
near the headlight bucket. I will include a good-condition replacement
hood with the car. It is minus engine and drivetrain. The car
is setting on fresh KYBs at all
four corners, IAP lowering springs, and ADDCO sway bars
front and rear. These alone retail for $700+. All electricals
are intact and appear to operate correctly. Seats are faded and
need to be recovered, carpet is good,
door cards are good, dash has
one small crack. Windshield has been pulled and has
a temporary replacement fitted, easy to remove for an all-over paint job. This is
the perfect car for an early bumper conversion / driveline

1987 X1/9 Rolling Shell - This is a very good
condition shell. Excellent candidate for a race or autocross car
project. Floorpans, shock towers and cowl drain areas are excellent.
Some rust around fender arches. Solid for a good race platform, and you
won't feel bad about cutting it where you need to. NO title.

X1/9 - $2000 obo
80K miles,
1.5L 5-spd Targa Top, body surprisingly rust-free, front corner damage, black
leather, PW, deep dish 13x6 alloys w Sumitomo 175-50s front 215-60s
rear. Front lowered 1", Stud conversion Kenwood CD. Tranny excellent.
This car sustained damage over a curb by previous owner low in PS front
corner and needs a new fender-to-grille connector on PS. Has two
dents on driver's side, one in front of door, and, (sigh) one in the DS
rear quarter behind the door. The rest of the
car is solid, PS trunk well starting to show a little rust. All other
usual places are rust-free. New clutch MC, starter, Daily driver.
Needs clutch, windshield, short speedo cable, and carpet and
leather seats re-stitched. This car is a daily driver and starts
every time. Electrical is good. A little cosmetic body work
and this car is ready to go. |
